Our Management team is led by Mr. Stephan Midenet, CEO Seabed Geosolutions.

The general management of Seabed Geosolutions is led by a group of Chief Officers, with several senior support functions ensuring consistency across all activities.

Stephan Midenet, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Midenet joined Seabed Geosolutions in his current position in November 2014. Prior to this position, Mr. Midenet was a member of the Board of Directors of Seabed Geosolutions and has been closely associated with the creation of the Joint Venture while working for CGG. Mr. Midenet held various leadership positions with CGG for whom he started his career in April 1998. He has notably been Executive Vice President for the Land and Shallow Water Division and a member of the CGG Executive Committee. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the seismic industry in management, sales and operational positions internationally. Mr. Midenet is a graduate of the Ecole des Mines de Nancy, France.

 

 

Mr. Le Moal joined Seabed in his current position in June 2015. He oversees all aspects of the Company’s finances. Prior to this position, Mr. Le Moal was employed by CGG where he has held various financial and management positions. He has more than 10 years of oil and gas industry experience with international experience in Asia, Europe and the Americas.  Mr. Le Moal is a graduate of IFMA engineering school and holds a Master degree in Finance.

 

 

 

 

Mr. Breed assumed his current role in October 2018, and joined Seabed Geosolutions as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing in September 2017. In his current role, Mr. Breed provides executive leadership for the Company’s overall commercial, geoscience, and technical innovation functions. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Breed held leadership positions of increasing responsibility from August 1995 through September 2017 with Transocean, Rowan Companies, and Pacific Drilling, among others. He has more than 15 years’ experience in leading commercial organizations in the domestic and international offshore industry. A United States Navy combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Mr. Breed attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocean Engineering and a Master of Business Administration.

 

 

 

Gregory Niellez

Mr. Niellez joined Seabed Geosolutions in his current position in June 2017. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Niellez was the former VP Global Operations for CGG’s Land Acquisition Division. He has more than 22 years’ experience in seismic worldwide including more than 10 years in the field for land and shallow water operations. Mr. Niellez earned a Master of Science degree in Geosciences in 1993 (Strasbourg, France).

 

 

 

 

Martin Hartland

Mr. Hartland joined Seabed Geosolutions in his current position in September 2014. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hartland was employed by the Fugro. He has 25+ years’ offshore industry experience managing technical and operational projects which included, on behalf of Fugro, the new-build and conversion management of 12 offshore vessels for the seismic and subsea divisions. Mr. Hartland holds a Master of Science degree in Marine Engineering from Plymouth University and Executive MBA from ESCP Paris, in addition he is a Chartered Engineer (CEng & CMarEng) and is a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science & Technology.

 

 

 

Justin Mitchell

Mr. Mitchell joined Seabed Geosolutions in March 2015. He started his legal career as a litigator and has c. 10 years of experience as an attorney, general counsel, and executive in the oil and gas, maritime, and energy services industries. Before practicing law, Mr. Mitchell was a professional mariner serving as an officer on commercial and military vessels including as Captain of a PSV. Mr. Mitchell provides solutions-based legal advice in managing complex litigation, negotiating contracts (including M&A, joint ventures and financial transactions), as well as leading corporate governance initiatives, compliance, and enterprise risk management / insurance programs.

He holds a MSc in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University; a Juris Doctor in Common Law and Graduate Diploma in Civil Law from Louisiana State University; a BSc in Marine Transportation as a Kings Point Scholar from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy; and completed graduate business coursework in accounting-based valuation and financial statement analysis at Rice University, Jones Graduate School of Business. In 2015, the Maritime Law Association named Mr. Mitchell “Proctor in Admiralty.”

 

Janell Zeug

Ms. Zeug joined Seabed Geosolutions as Vice President, Human Resources in May 2016. She has over 18 years’ experience in HR leadership roles at CGG, Atwood Oceanics, and Crestwood Midstream, among others. Ms. Zeug has led and coordinated multiple pre-merger and post-merger acquisition HR related activities. Prior to the oil and gas industry, she has worked in the financial industry, graphic design, and marketing. Ms. Zeug holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Arkansas State University and holds two Professional Certifications in Human Resource Management.
